E155 -1973 Mack CF795 FOUND
Monday, May 17, 2010
-
Recently, Hawthorne was contacted by a gentleman from New Orleans, La. asking if our company had owned a 1973 Mack CF795. I informed the gentleman that we did own a Mack of this type some time ago. We had sold the Mack to company out in Brockton Pa. and did not know what happened to her after that. Well to our surprise the old E155 Mack has been found and is in good condition. The Mack is owned by  Kenny Sharpe of New Orleans, La.  Mr. Sharpe has informed us that the truck is still in good condition and is running like charm, he says.

The first picture that we have is of e155 when the engine was refurbished back in 1985(Iam trying to get pictures of the engine in its original form). there was some changes once it left Hawthorne, you can see that half doors were installed on the jump seats, full light bar on the roof and some additional lights on the front.

Our company is happy to know that the Mack is still on the road and is being enjoyed as an antique and show piece. The members of the Hawthorne would like to wish Mr. Sharpe the best of luck with her.

P.S. if you ever want to sell her let us know..........
